It is appropriate for those interested in becoming certified umpires or certified umpires who are up for renewal. The Seminar will be held at Oakcliff Sailing Center, 4 South St, Oyster Bay, NY. Parking available on site. The Instructor is Bruce Cook, International Umpire, National Umpire, International Judge, & National Judge. This in-person seminar consists of two instructional classroom sessions and two on the water sessions, a practical and an assessment. The Saturday on the water session will consist of practical/training and Sunday is an assessment. Seminar Schedule: July 6, 2024, ½ day seminar & ½ day practical on the water July 7, 2024, ½ day seminar & ½ day assessment on the water 8:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. This Match Race Umpire Seminar overlays the Oakcliff Grade 4 Clinegatta, packing in as much training and certification into one weekend as possible. There will be some joint learning during competitor debriefs as well. Attendance is required to complete and pass this course.
