ONLINE Basic Race Management Seminar.
Instructors are Fields Gunsett and Gil Greenwood.

The seminar consists of three live 2.5-hour Zoom sessions on Sunday, May 22, Tuesday, May 24, and Thursday May 26.
All sessions are 7:00-9:30 pm ET (4:00-6:30 pm PT).

There is approximately 30-60 minutes of pre-course work required before each session. Attendance in all three sessions is required to complete and pass the course.

About five days before your course begins, you will receive an email from US Sailing inviting you to participate in the course through Canvas, US Sailing’s online learning platform. Please click the "Get Started" link to complete your profile and access the course materials.

The lead instructor will email you with course information. Course fee: $40. Registration closes Wednesday, May 18.

IN-PERSON Basic Race Management Seminar at Maryland Yacht Club .
The Instructors are Sharon Hadsell and Tom Stalder.

This In-Person seminar consists of one session on Sunday, May 22 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern.
The seminar will be held at Maryland Yacht Club, 1500 Fairview Beach Rd, Pasadena, MD.

There is approximately 90-120 minutes of course pre-work required before the seminar begins. Attendance is required to complete and pass the course.

About ten days before your course begins, you will receive an email from US Sailing (notifications@instructure.com ) inviting you to log into in the course through Canvas, US Sailing’s online learning platform. Please click the "Get Started" link right away to complete your profile and access the course materials. There are a few short quizzes and activities you are asked to complete prior the first session.

The lead instructor will email you with course information, including directions for course pre-work.

Local Covid Guidelines will be followed.

US Sailing Course Registration fee is $40.
Food will be available for purchase at the club.

Walk-In registrations are not allowed.

This is an IN-PERSON, hands-on course that will be held at [VENUE] on [DATE] from [TIME] to [TIME].

You will go outside (weather permitting) for practical exercises such as measuring the wind and setting a model race course. Please be prepared to participate actively and dress accordingly.

Your instructor(s) will contact you before the session to confirm the time and location, as well as session details such as lunch and equipment you should bring. They will also provide any instructional materials you will need, either ahead of time or when you arrive at the venue.
