ONLINE Basic Race Management Seminar.
Instructors are Fields Gunsett, Jack Yoes and Leif Sigmond.
The seminar consists of three live 2.5-hour Zoom sessions on Sunday, April 6, Tuesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 10, 2025.
All sessions are 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm CT (8:00 pm - 10:30 pm ET, 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm PT).
There is approximately 30-60 minutes of pre-course work required before each session. Attendance in all three sessions is required to complete and pass the course.
About five days before your course begins, you will receive an email from Canvas Free for Teachers, [email protected], inviting you to participate in the course through Canvas, US Sailing’s online learning platform. Please click the "Get Started" link to complete your profile in Canvas and access the course materials.
The lead instructor will email you with additional course information. This class will be taught on-line via Zoom. The instructors will be on-line approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of each session.

ONLINE ADVANCED RACE MANAGEMENT SEMINAR (ARMS) hosted by Westhampton Yacht Squadron.
Instructor is Cynthia Parthemos.
The ARMS is intended for Certified Race Officers who need to recertify or would like to move up a level. It fulfills the seminar requirement for Advanced certification and recertification. Students will have the opportunity to take the Advanced Race Officer Test following the final session. You will have three weeks to complete it.
Schedule
This Online ARMS consists of multiple Zoom sessions, a short Introductory Zoom session followed by four more Zoom sessions. Attendance in all 5 sessions is required to complete and pass the course.
Session 1: Introduction - Monday, April 28, 2025, 7:00 to 8:00 pm eastern, Zoom online.
Session 2: Monday, May 5, 2025, 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
Session 3: Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
Session 4: Monday, May 12, 2025, 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
Session 5: Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
There is pre-course work to be completed before Session 1. It is estimated to require 7 to 10 hours to complete. The requirements and timeline will be thoroughly explained at the intro session. The course is designed to build on lessons learned in these pre-course modules, but they may be accessed, reviewed, or worked on up until the class closing date. Timely efforts will produce best results.

This is a two-day In-Person Advanced Race Management Seminar: The seminar consists of one live 1-hour Zoom introductory session; on Thursday, April 17, and two in-person sessions on May 3 and May 4, 2025, at Houston Yacht Club, 3620 Miramar Dr, Shoreacres, TX.
Schedule
The seminar will consist of a short Introductory Zoom session followed by two in-person sessions. Attendance in all 3 sessions is required to complete and pass the course.
